Corrections and maintenance log
Kickoff Lens publishes a public correction trail so readers, search reviewers, and advertisers can see how score, bracket, source, release-gate, and policy changes are handled. The log is not a private account dashboard and it is not a Google AdSense approval claim.
The current World Cup data package contains 95 finished matches. 7 finished matches still carry incomplete event-timeline notes, which are tracked separately from confirmed final scores.
Recent corrections
| Date | Area | Correction | Protection added |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-07-06 | Knockout bracket advancement correction | M91/M92 winners route to M98; M93/M94 winners route to M99. M99 remains pending until M93 and M94 are finished. | Added runtime bracket normalization, data-quality checks, desktop tree assertions, and mutable-data cache protection. |
| 2026-07-06 | Mutable match data cache protection | Service worker no longer precaches worldcup-real-data.json, because match results, penalty winners, and bracket branches change during the tournament. | Network-first data remains primary; static data remains a fallback, not a long-lived browser truth. |
| 2026-07-06 | Club-football source-link check | 18 public source links checked, 0 warnings. External links are freshness evidence only. | The checks do not authorize copying fixture databases, articles, logos, club crests, kit images, broadcast screenshots, video, or official graphics. |
| 2026-07-06 | AdSense public-side readiness signal | The public readiness report includes ads.txt, policy pages, source boundaries, originality pages, and source-link checks. | This is not a Google AdSense approval claim; the private Google dashboard remains the account-side truth. |
| 2026-07-06 | Five-league release-gate boundary | Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 pages stay as substantial data rooms while long-tail club, player, matchweek, and recap pages remain blocked until source-backed fields are ready. | No copied official fixture database, no league logos, no club crests, no private medical claims, and no wagering language. |
Correction rules
| Rule | How Kickoff Lens handles it |
|---|---|
| Score correction | Final score, penalty score, winner, decidedBy, and recap text must converge before the result is treated as complete. |
| Penalty outcome | A knockout match decided on penalties must show both regulation score and shootout score instead of being described as a plain draw. |
| Bracket advancement | Later rounds must derive teams from confirmed upstream winners or losers; unfinished upstream matches keep a visible pending slot. |
| Event timeline gap | An incomplete scoring timeline is shown as a data-quality note and must not erase a confirmed final score. |
| Five-league page release | A club, player, matchweek, or recap route can index only after source timestamp, rights-safe content, and original reader value are present. |
| Advertising separation | Ads and sponsors must not rewrite match scores, source notes, model reads, correction notes, or official-affiliation boundaries. |
