Matchweek brief blueprint
Kickoff Lens will not publish league round pages that are only copied fixture lists. A matchweek brief must explain why the round matters: table pressure, rest load, travel, rotation, squad availability, matchup fit, and what changed after full time.
This blueprint defines the source-safe format for future Champions League, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 round pages. It is indexable because it explains the product standard; individual matchweek pages remain noindex until the release gates are met.
Brief structure
| Section | Reader value | Minimum evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Round context | What is at stake in the table, knockout phase, European race, title race, or relegation zone. | Competition, round window, participating clubs, and source timestamp. |
| Schedule pressure | Rest days, travel, congestion, European rotation, cup load, and derby pressure. | Kickoff window, home/away sequence, and rotation/rest context. |
| Radar matchup map | Which club-strength dimensions matter most for this round. | Competition-specific radar axes and readable model context. |
| Club dossier links | Route readers into source-backed club pages when those pages are ready. | Club dossier release gate must be passed before indexable club links are exposed as primary destinations. |
| Source note | What is confirmed, what is missing, and when the page was updated. | Source timestamp, data freshness, and correction path. |
| Post-match update | After the round, explain result confirmation, table effect, and how the pre-match read changed. | Final score, result confirmation source, event availability note, and correction timestamp. |
Release gate
A matchweek page can become indexable only when it includes the required fields below. Until then, it stays out of the sitemap or explains that fixture ingestion is pending.
Minimum fields: home club, away club, kickoff window, venue or city, table implication, rotation/rest context, strength comparison, source timestamp.

Not a copied fixture directory
- Do not bulk-copy official fixture databases, official table widgets, or official match graphics.
- Do not create a page that only lists clubs and kickoff times.
- Do not use league logos, club crests, kit images, broadcast screenshots, highlight clips, ticketing hooks, livestream links, betting prompts, or guaranteed-result language.
- Use club and competition names only as text identifiers for independent analysis.
Reader workflow
- Use the league guide to understand the competition environment.
- Use the club dossier blueprint to understand what club pages must contain before becoming indexable.
- Use the post-match recap blueprint to understand how a round stays useful after final whistle.
- Use the radar glossary to read the strength axes in the round context.
- Use the methodology page to check source freshness, noindex decisions, and rights boundaries.
Publishing roadmap
The first public club-football layer stays focused on competition themes, dossier blueprint, league guide, and methodology. Individual matchweek briefs will be published only after reliable fixture ingestion, source timestamps, and a post-match update path are in place.
